Art Commission
A commission is an opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind, unique piece of artwork customised to your style and interior. Due to my background as an interior designer, I can provide you with the best option for your space while working with you to understand your style and ideas. If there is a painting from my collection that you love, but it has now sold and is no longer available, or size and shape don't work with your space I can draw out different elements to amalgamate into one, and create something very special just for you. I don't do exact replicas of my works and every artwork will have something unique. My approach to producing an art commission is flexible and collaborative and I thoroughly enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and interests. I am passionate about working closely with his clients to produce pieces of art that both bring your vision and interior to life. I paint only in acrylics and sometimes use mixed media to compliment my art and create textures. I paint on high-quality paper for a budget-friendly option, canvas board, or stretched canvas. For smaller-scale artworks, I often would provide a frame and make the art fit it saving time and money to get it mounted after. All of these options are negotiable and I am happy to consult and choose the best for you.
Process and Timescale
An initial discussion is held to outline the scope of work (size, style, framing, colour scheme), the details of which will be used to formulate a quote. Throughout the process, photo and video updates are shared and client feedback is incorporated into the work if the client wants that. Timeframes can vary depending on workload, the typical lead time for a commission is between 1-4 weeks. Art work can be shipped worldwide and is securely packed, local delivery or collection can also be arranged. If it is a gift for someone I am happy to package it accordingly at no extra cost.
'A Mind Of Her Own' is a beautiful abstract and textured painting (Still available to buy). It is a budget-friendly option as it is painted on Fabriano paper and framed. The client wanted this art as a gift and requested this artwork on stretched deep canvas and a much bigger scale. The hair of the lady in the painting was changed to suit the client's request.
The original version of the painting was created to raise money for Ukraine. Once it sold and money was donated I received a commission to paint just like this one but in different colours. The client wanted to use colors of Irish & Ukrainian flags in the commissioned artwork. It turned out wonderfully well as the colors worked well together and this artwork had a strong and powerful message.
Elephants
One of my favorite things to paint are elephants. I have done many in the past alone but recently I started to paint them in groups. I provide family representation paintings as elephants. It is a lovely painting to have of the family members represented as beautiful and spiritual animals. Unique and beautiful artwork will suit any interior and will make a wonderful gift.
Paintings from Photographs
Some of the commissions were done from photographs. They make a perfect gift for any occasion. All the paintings shown have been framed prior to painting. That eliminated the huge costs of custom framing.
I can paint almost anything from clear, bright, and good-quality photos, but I am not interested in portrait painting.
